What is a fever?
A fever means your child’s body temperature is higher than normal. A temperature of around 38°C or above is generally considered a fever.
Fever is often part of the body’s response to an infection, such as a cold or viral illness. Although fever can make children uncomfortable, many childhood fevers are not serious.
